About Jamie
 Jamie White was born in the itty-bitty-teeny-weenie town of Energy, Illinois. Population 800 (Salute!) Home of the Energy Eagles!! Once a small-town tomboy, she arrived in ‘Tinsel-Town’ with a bang!
“I was fortunate to have the absolute best childhood in the world!! I was the only kid on the block that had a steering wheel on my bike and homemade stilts. Okay, so my parents were thrifty and very creative. My entire summers were dedicated to camping, fishing and water-skiing. I can still tell the difference between a bluegill, bass and crappie! (Like that will help me in the ole’ job market)
My parents were the best…my dad would let us skip school to go fishing (hum, I think I might have missed the day they were teaching math!) And my mom was always room-mom and designated driver for all events. We had tons of kids over at our house on a daily basis!!”
“I was always the only girl whose desk was moved out in the hall!”
Jamie was a rebel in high school, who always did and said exactly what she felt; imagine that! It’s not surprising that unique quality she possessed back then, has taken her straight to the top!
Her calling in radio came about by accident while doing some modeling for an agency in St Louis. She describes it in one word: …MISTAKE!!!
“It’s a long story that didn’t last long because I said the ‘F’ word on the air in Kansas City while getting a tattoo. I was hired by another Kansas City station… and there things started happening. I really learned the ropes. Then it was off to Phoenix, San Diego, Denver, then finally LA. Who knew the show would be a success?!”
Los Angeles has been an on going experience for Jamie---a far cry from Energy, Ill! Once married to a prominent Denver orthopedic surgeon, she went from driving her step kids to their soccer games in a mini-van, to stumbling into an extramarital affair, an encounter with another woman, the difficulty of going through a divorce, and also dealing with the emotional pain of her mother’s fight with cancer. A tough and strong woman to say the least, Jamie became a sensation over the airwaves, and is one of very few female “leads” in morning radio. She maintains a highly rated, syndicated morning-drive talk show in Los Angeles, owned by Clear Channel, the largest radio group in the country.
Always to the point, Jamie says exactly what’s on her mind, (and yours too!), and is an open book about sex and relationships. Jamie receives thousands of email a day from both men and women who want to share their problems and seek advice from someone that relates to them. That unique person who has gone through a little bit of everything herself… Jamie White!.
